Inverness is a city full of families, friends, and great events. From patriotic festivals to car cruise-ins, there’s something for everyone. Check out these fun summer festivals in Inverness.
The Patriotic Evening takes place on July 3, just in time to celebrate the Fourth of July. As is tradition, there will be a fireworks display over Lake Henderson at 9 p.m. Everyone is welcome to find a comfortable spot to place their chairs and blankets. Due to construction in Liberty and Wallace Brooks parks, there won’t be a festival this year.
Pine Street Jam
The Pine Street Jam is a free concert that draws thousands of visitors to Inverness. Street performers and a Margaretville-themed party make for a fun event that everyone can attend! That’s not to mention the kid’s zone, an ugly Hawaiian shirt contest, and a scavenger hunt. It all takes place on August 3.
Friday Night Thunder
Are you ready for the thunder? The Friday Night Thunder event features a live music car cruise-in with local merchants and restaurants. On August 16, Elvis DJ will be playing all of Elvis’ top songs.
Inverness Founders Day
The city of Inverness turns 100 years old this year, and everyone is welcome to come out and celebrate Inverness Founders Day! Attendees will enjoy city history tours, horse carriages, old-time specials, and games. Come out on September 14 and enjoy the celebration!
