From advanced driver-assist features to community programs, Ford is dedicated to making the roads and their drivers safer. Young teen drivers are one of the biggest groups of people to be involved in crashes, so to combat this Ford started a program called Ford Driving Skills for Life. The program is now in its 17th year of working to provide new, young drivers with the skills and proficiency they need to be safe behind the wheel.
Ford Driving Skills for Life 2020 started its 80-stop tour this past January at the Manheim Auto Auction in Orlando. The program travels all over the country, with stops in 18 different states, from Alaska to Texas.
The program aims to teach teens to be safer through real-world training. Young drivers in attendance to the Ford Driving Skills for Life program will take classes on the dangers of distracted driving, as well as vehicle handling and how to recognize hazards on the road.
Ford Driving Skills for Life 2020 will have stops in states throughout the country, including Florida. Those who are unable to make an in-person course can take advantage of the online element which is designed to help both parents and teens.
